The Seasoned Skillet was built on flavor, faith, and family — and every dish we serve carries that legacy.

Wanya Griffin, founder and executive chef of The Seasoned Skillet, discovered his love for cooking at just 13 years old, standing beside his grandmother in the kitchen.

It was there, in the heart of a Southern home filled with warmth, laughter, and the aroma of home-cooked meals, that he first learned the power of food to bring people together.

What began as family meals made with love eventually grew into a calling of turning everyday gatherings into unforgettable experiences.

That calling led to years of cooking for loved ones, building a reputation for flavor and presentation, and ultimately launching what would become The Seasoned Skillet: a catering company rooted in heritage and driven by excellence.

Today, Wanya and his team craft elevated catering experiences for weddings, corporate events, private celebrations, and intimate gatherings, blending soulful Southern flavors with refined presentation.

Every dish is thoughtfully prepared. Every table is intentionally styled. And every event is treated as a moment to serve with heart.

At The Seasoned Skillet, food is more than nourishment ,it’s memory, culture, connection, and love on a plate.

We don’t just cater events. We curate moments that linger long after the last bite.
